Design Concept
This chair is a wooden piece of furniture characterized by its gently curved
frame.It is designed without sharp edges, offering
both a refined appearance and a comfortable sitting experience.The name
“Miko” is derived from the Japanese word “巫女,”
meaning a female priestess in traditional rituals.We chose this name t o
reflect an object with a specific functional role, similar
to ritual tools combining utility with graceful aesthetics.
We refined the proportions to suit counter-height use while maintaining
an elegant and lightweight appearance. At the same time,
the chair provides solid stability, and the thoughtfull y balanced footrest
enhances comfort and supports natural sitting posture at

「Miko」という名前は、日本の神事に登場する“巫女”に由来しています。神事に使用する道具の様な、機能的でありながら魅力的な物として名づけました。
カウンターハイトでの使用に適したプロポーションへと調整し、優雅さと軽やかさを保ちながら安定性も確保しました。バランスよく設計されたフットレストが快適さを高め、高い位置での自然な着座姿勢をしっかりとサポートします。
